Alice Tackett, violin

Alice Tackett joined the UCDSO in 1974-75. In addition to playing violin and viola in the UCDSO, she has also performed with the Peninsula Symphony Orchestra, CSU Chico Symphony Orchestra, University of Nevada Reno Symphony Orchestra, Bakersfield Symphony Orchestra, numerous chamber groups, and Davis Comic Opera Company Orchestra. She is a current member of the UC Davis Baroque Ensemble. Her other musical endeavors include the College of San Mateo Masterworks Chorale (which included performances at Carnegie Hall, the Cabrillo Music Festival, and several European tours) and full-scale opera productions at CSU Chico. She has also served on the Board of Directors of the Chamber Music Society of Sacramento. Tackett, who graduated from CSU Chico with a degree in Geology, is currently a Senior Environmental Scientist with a local environmental planning and engineering firm.
