Jenny Mun, trombone

Jenny Mun is a senior at UC Davis majoring in Japanese and Music: trombone performance. She started piano at age 9 and immediately fell in love with music. She joined marching band in high school marched with both clarinet and trombone, and was a drum major during her senior year. Mun found her interest in conducting since then, and still secretly enjoys conducting by herself. She also enjoys performing in various types of music ensembles including chamber ensemble, concert band, orchestra, and sometimes in musicals and operas. She is a member of UCDSO and UCD Concert Band.

Mun was inspired to study trombone by her high school band director Drew Erickson, who is an excellent trombone player himself. She has been a student of Bruce Chrisp since fall 2004, and studied with Cheol-Woong Lee while she was on EAP in South Korea, 2007-08.
