Benjamin Harris, a sophomore in Computer Science, has been studying oboe for six years. He can also press keys on a keyboard, but does not play piano. Rather, to capitalize on overzealous pedal technique, he composes fugues and orchestral works for more voices than fingers. In his other spare time, Harris independently studies operating systems, compilers, and programming languages. He hopes to continue with his musical interests and complete at least an undergraduate degree, all while interrogating the world through the virtual model of computer systems.
