Alexandra Engen, flute

Alexandra Engen is a third-year music major focusing on composition and flute performance.She has been playing flute for seven years and this is her second season with UCDSO.In addition to playing in her high school band and orchestra, she has played in Pasadena area groups, such as the Pasadena City College Orchestra and the Pasadena Summer Youth Chamber Orchestra.

In 2006, she was a member of the Southern California High School Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA) Honor Band at Cal State Long Beach and the Festival of Gold Honor Orchestra at Boston Symphony Hall. In her first year at UC Davis, she was a member of the UCD Concert Band and was principal flute and piccolo for the 2007 UCD Wind Ensemble. In high school, she was instructed by Jamie Pedrini, and is currently a student of Tod Brody.
