Chris Allen has been a member of the UCDSO since 1981/82. He also has played in many productions of the Davis Comic Opera Company and other local performance groups. Allen graduated from U.C. Davis in 1987 with a B.S. in geography, went on to Berkeley to acquire a M.S. in library science, and then went on to prove the maxim that one rarely gets a job with one's major by moving into information technology. Presently he is the manager of software and web development services for the California Integrated Waste Management Board, and has taught evening classes on web development and management at California State University at Sacramento. Besides playing in the UCDSO, he enjoys hiking the Sierra and singing boisterously in the car and shower.
