The Ground Rules

Attendance:

• 100% attendance is the norm.
• Maximum one personal leave per quarter.
• Rehearsals concert week, including the Saturday morning "dress" rehearsal, are mandatory for all: not present = not playing.
  
• You must sign in at each rehearsal. You must contact your section principal if you are to be absent for any reason. Better yet: e-mail Professor Holoman.
• You must arrange for your own part to be covered.
• GET YOUR MUSIC TO REHEARSAL! Violaters will be hanged.

Enrollment:

• Enroll for Music 141.
• CRN numbers can be given by the Music Department Office or by Symphony staff. Consent of instructor required. 2 units P/NP credit. May be repeated for credit.
• Remember: On admission, ADD THE COURSE!!
• Get a locker from the Music Department Office if you need it.
• You will need to take care that the following are always up to date:
     (1) your e-mail address in symroster@ucdavis.edu;
     (2) your biography and picture on this website;
     (3) your record in our database.

Dress:

• WOMEN: any combination of black and white. Preference for long black dresses.
• MEN: black bow tie, tux or incredibly dark suit. No white socks! No sneakers!

Complimentary tickets:

• Vouchers (1 per person) are distributed at UCDSO rehearsals and must be exchanged for an actual ticket at the box office before 4pm of the Friday before the performance. This allows you or your family to purchase seats continguous with the complimentary seat. Complimentary tickets are not available on the evening of the concert.
