This posting of the Mémoires of Hector Berlioz gives the text of the first edition published by Michel Lévy frères shortly after the author's death.

Generally the text reflects the source in all particulars; it is not a new edition. The punctuation is occasionally slightly altered for parallelism; occasionally a modern spelling of a proper name is given in square brackets.

Errata given at the close of the published edition have been incorporated into this text.

Corrections to the scanned copy are ongoing.
